Operations Manager, Business Management
As a General Manager, the individual will be responsible for managing customer relationships, driving revenue and gross profit growth with existing clients, and expanding the overall business. This role carries full P&L responsibility, with a strong focus on commercial development, stakeholder management, and ensuring alignment with group policies and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate is a commercially focused leader with strong market insight, financial acumen, and a proven track record in import, trading, and distribution across both retail and wholesale sectors. To provide full transparency, our current product categories in Oceania include stationery, home appliances, adhesives & coatings, textiles, and electrical products.
Core responsibilities
- Own and manage the full country P&L (Gross Profit and EBITDA), ensuring sustainable financial performance, profitability and growth.
- Develop and execute a robust go-to-market strategy for Oceania that drives growth in the trading business, including product expansion, customer acquisition, and market penetration.
- Identify and capitalize on new trading opportunities, enhance supplier and customer relationships, and drive continuous improvements in cost control and revenue generation.
- Build and manage a high-performing commercial pipeline; enforce consistent sales practices aligned with global standards and trading best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the back-office team in Thailand, emphasizing sales development, process optimization, compliance adherence, and supply chain efficiency.
- Represent the company to key external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, industry bodies, and regulatory agencies; ensure the company’s interests are well represented and protected.
Qualification
- University degree
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within the trading, distribution, or supply chain sectors.
- Solid commercial acumen with a successful track record of managing P&L and delivering growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment.
