Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of oncology patients? As a Nurse Navigator-Oncology, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care throughout their treatment journey. Collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team, you will provide the support and expertise needed to guide patients through their healthcare experience.
Position OverviewIn this specialized role, you will utilize your clinical expertise to educate and empower patients while facilitating support groups within an oncology setting. If you are passionate about patient care and have the qualifications we seek, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care across the treatment continuum.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide patient education and facilitate support groups.
- Utilize advanced clinical expertise to enhance patient outcomes.
- Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
- Experience: 2 years of related experience.
- Licensure: RN (Registered Nurse) licensed in the state of practice.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Experience: 3 years in an oncology setting preferred.
- Experience in formal patient education and community presentations.
- Support group facilitation experience.
- Certification: Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking required each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
