The Patient Access/Scheduler is responsible for telecommunications from within and outside of the clinic, performs receptionist duties in directing patients, visitors and others to the appropriate areas. Responsible for obtaining and entering all demographic and insurance information from patients prior to their service. Responsible for entering correct information into the scheduling software. Responsible for verifying insurance and gathering correct preauth information.

Responsible for obtaining and communicating pre‑service payment information (co‑pay, co‑insurance, deductibles) to Patient Access staff before service is rendered. Refers noninsured patients to the financial counselor to set up payment arrangements prior to services.

.9 FTE - 36 hours per week, between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm. Will likely be 4 eight hour shifts and 1 four hour shift per week.
