Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Respective State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct.

Our Nursing Career Path Program helps new and experienced RNs build strong clinical foundations in the Med/Surg service line before transitioning into a specialty unit of your choice. This structured pathway provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional growth at every step.

Eligible to Transfer to a Specialty dept. in 12–18 Months:

• NICU

• Labor & Delivery

• Pediatrics / PICU

• Med/Surg ICU

• Trauma/Neuro ICU

• CVICU

• ED

• Burn ICU

• Behavioral Health

• Float Pool

• Women & Children’s

Qualifications:

Education:

Nursing degree from an accredited school

License:
Active RN license in the state

Certifications:

Current BLS (American Heart Association)
