ResponsibilitiesAssist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for specified expense accounts. Through in-depth analysis, this role will identify key spending trends and translate data into actionable insights. Perform accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, external provider invoicing and reconciliation, and special projects as directed. Develop a thorough understanding of the inter‑company management fee accounting process and ensure proper allocation of management fees by company, state, and line of business.
Continuously analyze procedural methodologies to drive efficiencies.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience. - Experience:
2‑4 years (or Associate’s degree plus 4‑6 years.) - Knowledge:
General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within this field. Applies them to perform work requiring analytical business skills. - Decision Making:
Ability to make decisions with broad management limits, influencing projects, client relationships, or expenditures and impacting organizational long‑range goals. - Supervision:
Works independently under general supervision; work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives. - Leadership:
May provide training and guidance to less experienced staff. - Problem‑solving:
Develops solutions to moderate scope problems, interpreting policies for guidance. - Client Contacts:
Frequently contacts other departments or external organizations; primarily at or below upper management levels. - Additional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; minimum two years of analytical experience and solid understanding of basic accounting terms; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and within a group; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Salary Range: $58,000 – $81,000 per year. Pay philosophy is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles may be eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based on the compensation plan.
