Respiratory Therapist - Harrington Hospital, 24 Hours, Evenings

Hiring Range: $26.95 - $48.51 per hour.
Schedule:
7 pm – 7 am (Evening Shift, 12 hours).
Hours:
24 hours per week.
Eligibility:
Review of internal candidates via Workday. Signing bonus may be available.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Appropriately documents all care activity performed and charges in the hospital EMR system.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
- Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines.
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all mechanical ventilators.
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of the V60 NIPPV.
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems.
- Demonstrates competency in the disinfection, transport and set up of all non-disposable equipment.
- Adheres to the Hospital’s Standards of Behavior.
- Completes all hospital and department annual competencies.
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
All responsibilities are essential job functions.
License / Certification / Education- Graduate of an AMA‑approved School of Respiratory Care.
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP).
- Maintenance of CEUs in accordance with regulation of licensure in Massachusetts.
