SummaryThis person will be responsible for maintaining efficient and functional facilities at the VRC Webster location. They will be responsible for the efficient operation of the VRC facility, manufacturing systems permanently installed at this location, and maintaining up to date calibrations on all gauges.
Essential Job Functions- Maintain mechanical systems and equipment
- Monitor cleanliness and functionality of the buildings
- Maintain shop supplies and perform some janitorial services tasks
- Perform landscaping, snow/ice removal, and other outside tasks as necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Maintain records of preventative maintenance requirements
- Maintain facility infrastructure (HVAC, Security system, cooling systems, plumbing, etc.)
- Ensuring calibration of gauges and other critical equipment
- Maintain safety item inventory and ensuring access
- Coordinating with outside services for specialized maintenance tasks (compressors, electrical, etc.)
- Work with engineers and technicians in the facility to streamline facility layout for improved operations
- Use equipment such as hoists, fork trucks, and dollies as needed to move heavy equipment and supplies
- Responsible for building safety and security
- Use power tools for machine assembly tasks and proper daily use
- Perform light machining tasks as necessary

- Must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment As Required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or other technical degree a plus.
- Two years experience in facilities maintenance.
- Or similar experience in HVAC systems (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing system maintenance and/or calibration a plus.
- Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, newspapers, periodicals, journals, brochures, and sales documents.
- Write routine reports, correspondence, inventory summaries, and reports in English using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
- Ability to speak effectively in English on the phone and in person with vendors.
- Basic math skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Proficient in electronic communication including email, web searching, and data organization.
- Ability to quickly learn computer applications, such as facility management software and automated HVAC control systems.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Use mathematical skills to interpret inventory information and prepare budgets, read and interpret inventory records and statistical reports.
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
