Evening Nursing Supervisor

Pay Range

Base pay: $44.00/hr - $51.00/hr

$44/hr for LPN, $51/hr for RN. Shift differentials included. Weekly pay. 3p-11p shift, 32 hours.

We are hiring a full‑time evening Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.

As the nursing supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Experience & Education
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in a hospital, long‑term care facility, or other related health‑care facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Participate in developing, updating, and communicating residents' care plans.
  • Assure staff is implementing care plans, performing care activities appropriately, and recognizing changes in resident status.
  • Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your care.
  • Follow physician’s orders; render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
  • Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
  • Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
  • Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of residents on the alert list and conduct/ document RN assessments as needed.
  • Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
  • Administer medication according to procedure when applicable.
  • Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
  • Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.
  • Other duties may be assigned by manager.
Specific Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
  • Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize them appropriately.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and a willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.
  • Must plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary for providing quality care.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and a willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Must be able to convey information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must communicate effectively regarding emergency situations.
