We are seeking a dedicated professional to support and guide youth ages 11-18 in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and promoting development toward a family community return.
Pay Range$16.00/hr – $16.00/hr (base pay, actual pay based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities- Supervise and role model youth in daily activities, following the program schedule (hygiene, chores, recreational, therapeutic, life skills, education, outings, employment).
- Track & document youth behavior and participation in the database, communication logs, and critical incident reports.
- Implement individual treatment plans during daily activities.
- Communicate with program staff (therapists, case managers, lead advisors, supervisors) regarding youth needs.
- Supervise and/or administer medications, completing required documentation.
- Transport and accompany youth to appointments and outings.
- Maintain security, cleanliness, and report maintenance issues to campus supervisors.
- Perform Safe Crisis Management (SCM) physical intervention techniques and obtain annual certification.
- Provide training as required for agency compliance programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year experience working with at‑risk youth or adolescents with emotional/behavioral challenges.
- Completion of at least 60 hours of college training focused on social sciences is preferred.
- Class E driver’s license (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to use strength‑based, therapeutic crisis intervention methods with adolescents.
- Understanding of the at‑risk youth client population.
- Capacity to instruct and oversee daily activities effectively.
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement agency documents and procedure manuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, partners, families.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ETO database software.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 100 lbs, and push/pull as needed.
- Work in a typical office environment.
