The Bio Dude is looking for a customer-obsessed, reptile-savvy, relationship‑building pro to join our growing team. This hybrid role blends direct‑to‑consumer customer care with wholesale/B2B support

This isn’t a call‑center grind or a stuffy sales desk. You’ll be the voice of the brand, the problem‑solver customers trust, and the behind‑the‑scenes force keeping wholesale orders moving smoothly.
JOB DUTIES Customer Care (Retail & DTC)- Deliver top‑tier customer service in person, by phone, and online
- Help customers choose the right products for reptiles and amphibians (substrates, enclosures, lighting, etc.)
- Provide accurate husbandry guidance and troubleshooting support
- Process orders, exchanges, and refunds accurately through our POS system
- Document customer interactions and resolutions to ensure consistent follow‑up
- De‑escalate issues professionally and escalate when appropriate
- Keep the retail space stocked, organized, and visually dialed in
- Support promotions, in‑store events, and customer engagement initiatives
- Respond to wholesale account inquiries with speed and professionalism
- Coordinate with operations, manufacturing, and freight teams to ensure accurate, on‑time wholesale orders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners
- Assist with trade shows (setup, breakdown, customer engagement, lead capture)
- Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities
- Track wholesale inventory and assist with basic reporting
- Act as a brand ambassador for The Bio Dude at all times
- Shopify, Shopify Wholesale, Amazon Seller Central
- Slack, Google Workspace, Front, Nextiva
- SKULabs, Smile, Yotpo
- CRM and timekeeping systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of retail and/or customer service experience
- Wholesale or B2B experience is a big plus
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable handling reptiles and amphibians as needed
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet throughout the day
- Willingness to travel for trade shows and special events
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Shifts:
- 10:00 AM – 6:15 PM (Mon–Fri)
- Alternating Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 6:15 PM
- Unpaid meal breaks included
- No overtime without management approval
