- Completion of an MRI training program including the UTMB MR Training Program.
- 0+ years of experience for Technologist I; 3+ years for Technologist II.
- American Heart Association (BLS)
- Must be MRI certified or MRI registry-eligible at the time of hire.
- Registry-eligible candidates required to obtain MRI certification within six months of hire.
The MRI Technologist I position works independently to complete routine MR procedures, including common and specialty MR exams of moderate complexity. The role provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special MR procedures and delivers exceptional patient care while adhering to MR exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
MRI Technologist IIThe MRI Technologist II is an experienced technologist who completes routine to complex MR procedures, including common and specialty MR exams of high difficulty. The role serves as a mentor and trainer to the MR Technologist I and students, provides direct assistance to physicians, and delivers exceptional patient care while adhering to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines.
