Position: Non-Certified Medical Physicist Ph.D - TXO Willowbrook (Houston)

Overview

Texas Oncology - Webster, part of the Gulf Coast Region, is seeking a full-time, team-oriented Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) to join our team. We are open to hiring a upcoming 2026 Physics Resident graduate and holding the position until their July 1, 2026 graduation date or an early date if available. Texas Oncology has more than 220 sites of service throughout Texas, with more than 600+ providers.

Responsibilities
  • Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support to include HDR
  • Support and participate in physics support for the Gulf Coast Region
  • Occasionally travel to sites within the region for on-site physics support
  • Determines the need for, specifies, and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment including, but not limited to, measurement instruments to calibrate all treatment equipment and monitoring devices, computerized treatment planning systems, water phantom systems with appropriate ionization chambers and diodes, etc.
  • Advises and consults with physicians to provide advice or direction to technical staff when patients are being planned or treated.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must have a Master s degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be A  certified, or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency and be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment.
  • Texas Medical Board license required or must be obtained.
