General Summary
The House Nursing Supervisor provides 24-hour coordination of appropriate patient placement throughout the Hospital. The House Nursing Supervisor works closely with all departments, Medical Staff, and Administration to maximize the use of the hospitals̢۪ resources to provide quality patient care.

Education:
Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of two (4) years experience acute care nursing practice that includes sufficient clinical and management experience to ensure competence.
Licensure/Life Safety:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS must be current upon acceptance of position.
AHA ACLS certification or within 1 year of hire and maintain thereafter.
AHA PALS certification or within 1 year of hire and maintain thereafter.
Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak the English language;
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
Inter- and intra-departmental coordination of patient care activities;
Delegation skills required;
Ability to multi-task essential;
Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential;
Strong detail orientation required;
Computer skills required;
Personal time management skills are required;
Adept as a change agent;
Utilizes wide range of theories in managing complex problems or problem resolution;
Demonstrated expertise related to the following required: commitment to the advancement of nursing practice and the nursing profession, interpersonal communication skills related to knowledge of group/system dynamics, commitment to staff education and development;
Compliance with the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses is required;
Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in North Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
