American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week assignment requiring open heart and vascular surgery experience along with a compact or TX RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience required
- Required experience in open heart and vascular surgery
- Required operating room experience
- Must provide US SSN and DOB for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Work in a 3-room Cardiovascular Operating Room within the Open Heart Surgery unit
- Team consists of 26 staff with a daily skill mix of 4 RNs and 4 surgical techs on day shift
- No night shift staffing on this unit
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call responsibilities average 4-5 days per month with 1 weekend per month
- Floating required to the Main OR
- Perform surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, and ECMO
- Also support procedures such as angiogram, fistulagram, fistula creation, and lower extremity bypass
- Best suited for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
