American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications along with a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a 14-bed Main PACU unit within a hospital main tower
• Staffed with 1 charge nurse and 6 staff nurses on day shift, and 2 nurses overnight
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Shift scheduled 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Floating to Pre-Op may be required
• On-call required once per night every two weeks
• Care for post-surgical patients recovering from procedures such as endoscopy, hernia repairs, myomectomy, hysterectomy, nephrectomy, joint repair/replacement, lumbar fusion, and general surgeries, including trauma cases

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide recovery care to post-anesthesia patients following a wide range of surgical procedures
• Team-oriented environment with an emphasis on positive attitude and collaboration
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
