American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications with a TX or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
- Work in the Main PACU unit located on the second floor of the main tower
- 14-bed unit staffed with 16 nurses total
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 6 staff nurses; night shift staffed with 2 nurses
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Floating to Pre-Op may be required
- On-call required once per night every two weeks
- Unit covers procedures including endoscopy, hernia repairs, myomectomy, hysterectomy, nephrectomy, joint repair/replacements, lumbar fusions, trauma cases, and other general surgeries
- Scrub color required is royal blue
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
