Primary Purpose

Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High school diploma or GED
Eligible for apprentice license through Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility
Requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communicational and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of electrical tools and multi-meters
Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English
Basic knowledge in commercial electrical/conduit and 3 phase experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition.

Maintain truck parts inventory and attribute repair parts to appropriate work order.

Maintain neat and orderly work vehicle.

Follow all safety rules relating to trade.

Attend all safety meetings.

Participate in after hours on-call response protocol as scheduled by the Electrical Supervisor.

Participate in District Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by District Incident Commander or designee.

Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; lifting to 80 pounds; inside and outside exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust toxic chemicals, and materials; working on ladders; working in and around energized environment

Terms: 230 days
