Pay Rate: $41,000 per year ($19.71 per hour)

The Resident Advocate Night C oversees shelter operations, including service delivery to residents during assigned shifts.

40 hours weekly, Sunday off;
Monday/Tuesday 12a-8a;
Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 12:30a-8:30a;
Saturday off, or as needed to meet program objectives.

• Provide crisis intervention to residents and hotline callers
• Ensure safety, security, and welfare of residents during shifts
• Orient residents to shelter guidelines and ensure compliance
• Maintain confidentiality of records, residents, and shelter location
• Manage donations, including acceptance, recording, and storage
• Participate in shelter and staff meetings
• Oversee shelter cleanliness and reassign chores as needed
• Document information in OSNIUM, client files, and logs
• Request maintenance for repairs
• Check call notes and client messages
• Perform other duties as assigned

Entry-level position; no additional requirements.

• Minimum 4-year degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources, or comparable experience
• Pass criminal background, motor vehicle, and reference checks
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and at least three years of driving experience
• Ability to lift/move a minimum of 40 lbs.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to empower residents
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Independent decision-making skills
• Sensitivity to issues of family violence and sexual assault; ability to remain calm in crises
• Understanding of residential programs and communal living dynamics
