Pay Rate: $41,000 per year ($19.71 per hour)
Position OverviewThe Resident Advocate Night C oversees shelter operations, including service delivery to residents during assigned shifts.
Hours40 hours weekly, Sunday off;
Monday/Tuesday 12a-8a;
Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 12:30a-8:30a;
Saturday off, or as needed to meet program objectives.
- Provide crisis intervention to residents and hotline callers
- Ensure safety, security, and welfare of residents during shifts
- Orient residents to shelter guidelines and ensure compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of records, residents, and shelter location
- Manage donations, including acceptance, recording, and storage
- Participate in shelter and staff meetings
- Oversee shelter cleanliness and reassign chores as needed
- Document information in OSNIUM, client files, and logs
- Request maintenance for repairs
- Check call notes and client messages
- Perform other duties as assigned
Entry-level position; no additional requirements.
Education and Other Requirements- Minimum 4-year degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources, or comparable experience
- Pass criminal background, motor vehicle, and reference checks
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and at least three years of driving experience
- Ability to lift/move a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to empower residents
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Independent decision-making skills
- Sensitivity to issues of family violence and sexual assault; ability to remain calm in crises
- Understanding of residential programs and communal living dynamics
