The Guest Host is the first point of contact for our restaurant and lounge guests. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable first impression while ensuring smooth seating arrangements and exceptional service coordination. The Guest Hostess embodies the service culture of Envue and Residence Inn, representing Marriott’s Autograph Collection standards of luxury, hospitality, and professionalism.

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Manage reservations and walk‑in seating to maximize guest satisfaction and dining room efficiency.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of server assignments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand, lobby, and entrance areas.
• Answer phones courteously, manage reservations through the system, and provide accurate information on restaurant hours, menu, and special events.
• Communicate effectively with the service team and kitchen staff to ensure timely guest flow and seating.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
• Assist with service needs such as setting tables, refilling water, or supporting servers during peak periods.
• Ensure adherence to hotel standards, safety regulations, and brand service guidelines.
• Promote hotel amenities, events, and loyalty programs as appropriate.

• Prior hostess, guest service, or front‑of‑house experience in a hotel or upscale dining environment preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with reservation systems (e.g., Open Table, Seven Rooms, or equivalent) preferred.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
