Quality Technician
Join Form Energy as a Quality Technician based in Weirton, WV. In this role you will work directly with Production/Operations, Plant Quality Control, Supplier Quality, and the Warehousing teams to ensure the quality of our iron‑air batteries as we ramp up volume manufacturing.
LocationForm Factory 1, Weirton, WV – a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities- Perform measurements, tests, inspections, and audits to support Product Control Plans and input results into our Quality Management System.
- Provide feedback on quality procedures and tools to achieve continuous improvement.
- Maintain clean, organized inspection environments in receiving area, metrology lab, and on the production floor.
- Identify quality changes or concerning variations in processes and materials.
- Champion safety in all work activities.
- 3+ years experience in heavy manufacturing assembly or quality inspection.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, multimeters, CMMs, and optical comparators.
- Experience with test equipment such as tensile testers, wire harness testers, ultrasonic testers, and physical property characterization equipment.
- Experience auditing to industry standards including ISO 9001, NADCAP, ASTM test standards, IPC 610/620/J‑STD‑001, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
