Staff Accountant (Entry Level to Experienced)

$45,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
What You'll Do- Work as part of a service delivery team to provide routine accounting services to our clients.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash disbursements, and cash receipts using Quick Books or other accounting software packages.
- Monthly:
Reconcile bank items, job cost, department, and general ledger accounts; prepare and enter journal entries; maintain electronic/paper files; and prepare draft financial and management reports. - Annually:
Assist with gathering data for budget processes, audit preparation, preparing 1099s and other tax filings, as well as other client-specific regulatory filings. - Ongoing:
Work with client and Insource staff to regularly upgrade and improve operating procedures and regularly document the changes. - Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and also track the status of tasks using project management software.
- Proven adeptness at detail work and experience managing multiple priorities.
- High level of self-motivation with an ability to work independently.
- Diplomatic, patient, curious, with a great sense of humor.
- Enthusiastic about accounting and finance in nonprofits and/or small to mid-sized firms.
- Ability to enter data into existing Excel spreadsheets and create new spreadsheets.
- Experience:
Seeking candidates anywhere from Entry Level to 5+ years of relevant experience. - Undergraduate degree preferred and/or relevant experience.
