We are looking for a Director, Corporate Strategy to join our growing team.
The Director, Corporate Strategy will play a pivotal role in the company, defining and executing on our corporate strategy, including driving high-priority new product planning, program strategy, and competitive intelligence efforts. This role will report to the Chief Business Officer and work closely with the Leadership Team and Program Teams.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning:
- Lead efforts to support the development and execution of the company's long-term strategic plans, including market analysis, competitive analysis and positioning, and assessment of growth opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging programs and data to inform strategic decision making.
- Support portfolio reviews and prioritization efforts. Deliver strategic insights through scenario planning and impact assessments.
- Partner with development teams, supporting informed decisions on the portfolio.
- New Product Planning:
- Serve on program team(s), integrating market insights into product development plans.
- Lead strategic projects to inform program planning, including new market assessments and other life-cycle management efforts, and develop target product profiles and commercial forecasts, commissioning and leading secondary and primary market research efforts as needed.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through synthesis of reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis.
- Create and maintain a knowledge repository to maintain all insights and data information for internal stakeholders to access.
- Develop externally facing communications regarding clinical development plans, market opportunities and positioning.
- Business Development:
- Support evaluation of potential in‑licensing and out‑licensing opportunities through scientific, market and landscape analysis and business case development; including the creation of pitch decks and opportunity overviews.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:- Work closely with other departments, such as R&D and finance, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Support departmental budget and LRP process.
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Education:
Advanced degree in business, life sciences, or a related field (MBA or PhD preferred). - Experience:
8+ years of experience in corporate development, portfolio strategy, new product planning or strategy consulting within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. - Technical
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities. Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. - Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the biotech industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape; previous experience in Immunology & Inflammation a plus. - Leadership &
Collaboration:
