Job Description

Wellesley Public Schools is seeking a costumer for Wellesley Middle School's Winter production of "Footloose - Youth Edition"

Applications will be accepted Tuesday, January 6, 2026 12:00 AM - Friday, February 6, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time)

Responsibilities include:

• Create, source, or modify costumes for large middle school cast
• Work with director to execute vision of the show
• Gather measurements for actors
• Attend tech week rehearsals to help with last-minute costume needs
• Plan and work with stage crew to facilitate quick changes
• Supervise volunteer crew, possibly including middle or high school students
• Manage costume budget
• Create period- appropriate hair and makeup looks for the show, style as needed
• Participate in strike
• Clean costumes and return to source upon show completion

Show dates are March 19-21, with tech rehearsals beginning March 14

Compensation is a stipend of $2,000 per production.
