Position Overview

Mature Caregivers is seeking a male companion to provide one-on-one engagement for a friendly 66-year-old male client in Wellesley. The client lives with his wife, who will be out running errands while you provide support.

He has Parkinson’s Disease and mild to moderate cognitive impairment. He is pleasant and cooperative, but benefits from help initiating conversations and activities.

Typical Activities May Include

• Taking walks or going for a drive
• Visiting the senior center or library
• Going out for lunch
• Watching sports, TV, or movies at home
• Offering companionship and conversation
• Providing safe, reliable transportation

We’re looking for someone who shares similar interests—especially an appreciation for sports—and who will genuinely enjoy spending time doing these activities.

Schedule:

• Priority shift: Fridays, 8:15am–12:15pm
• Additional option: Tuesdays (same or similar hours)

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, patient, and friendly personality
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to assist clients with walking or light mobility support if needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in caregiving, companion care, or customer service (preferred but not required)

• Experience supporting individuals with Parkinson’s Disease or cognitive impairments
• Comfort engaging clients with gentle conversation and activities

• Caring, patient, and dependable personality
• Experience supporting individuals with Parkinson’s Disease or cognitive impairments are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Ability to assist with mobility
• Must meet background check and employment requirements
