Family Law Paralegal - Wellesley, MA
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join a highly successful law firm located in Wellesley, MA. This position will work closely with attorneys and clients on all aspects of family law matters, providing comprehensive litigation and case management support from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have 5‑10+ years of direct family law experience within a legal environment.
This is a direct hire position that will pay $85,000 – $105,000 on a base salary plus bonus (depending on experience). The position is required to be onsite 5 days per week in the Wellesley office.
Responsibilities- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Draft, review, and organize complex financial statements, including detailed asset, income, expense, and liability disclosures.
- Prepare and draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, affidavits, and proposed orders.
- Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, organizing productions, and tracking deadlines.
- Draft and prepare subpoenas and coordinate service and follow‑up.
- Support motion practice, including document preparation, filing, and scheduling.
- Handle electronic court filings (e‑filing) in accordance with court rules and procedures.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness lists, trial binders, and courtroom logistics.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files, calendars, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or related field required.
- 5‑10+ years of paralegal experience within family law required.
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, court rules, and litigation workflows.
- Demonstrated experience drafting complex legal and financial documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, client‑centered approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
- Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office.
