Position SummaryThe Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing work as directed to gain experience in management, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team by driving store execution and performance while fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
EssentialFunctions
- Work effectively with store management and staff.
- Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
- Communicate effectively with management and staff.
- Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
- Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
- Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain customer confidentiality.
- Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer skills.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Experience in retail.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Hours:
20 - Time Type: Part-time
- Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
