Key Tasks- Provide a safe environment for children and take responsibility for supervising and assisting children in designated areas around the school.
- Make decisions to resolve problems and issues that may arise during the lunchtime period.
- Monitor children in the dining room to encourage healthy, balanced lunches and good eating manners.
- Set up and clear away tables and benches/chairs in dining areas.
- Encourage the children to treat each other with respect and follow the school’s behaviour policies at all times.
- Have experience of supervising children as a parent, carer or in a working role.
- Have knowledge and understanding of managing the behaviour of groups of children.
- Work as part of a group and individually.
- Encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times.
