Application Technician

Overview

Axalta is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Application Technician to join our facility in Wellingborough
, supporting teaching, research, and practical learning activities. The role involves preparing and delivering hands-on demonstrations, assisting students and customers, and maintaining technical equipment in a safe learning environment.

• Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations to support lectures, workshops, and lab sessions
• Set up, test, and maintain laboratory or workshop equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting during practical sessions
• Support the development of teaching materials and demonstration resources
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as required

• Practical experience working with technical equipment or within laboratory environments, with a strong hands-on and detail-oriented approach
• Previous body shop experience would be advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent organizational abilities and a proactive, adaptable mindset
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences, supported by strong interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting teaching, learning, or training activities is desirable
