We are currently seeking an Early Years Assessor to join our Health, Social Care & Childcare department at The Bedford College Group.

As an Early Years Assessor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

• Industry Placements & Employer Engagement
  - Source and coordinate high-quality industry placements for Health, Care and Early Years students, building strong relationships with employers, stakeholders and advisory boards to enhance student opportunities.
• Student Support, Assessment & Progress Monitoring
  - Support learners throughout their placements, conduct observations and assessments, provide constructive feedback, monitor attendance and progress, and help students achieve awarding body requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
  - Ensure all placement activity meets college policies, awarding body standards, health and safety requirements, and quality assurance processes, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Partnership Working & Curriculum Support
  - Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, careers services, business development colleagues, employers and internal verifiers to deliver successful placement programmes and positive learner outcomes.
• Safeguarding, Inclusion & Professional Development
  - Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, uphold student conduct standards, maintain professional knowledge through continuous development, and contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives.

• Qualifications & Professional Expertise
  - Holds a Level 4 Early Years qualification, TAQA Assessor award, and GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), with up-to-date sector knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Training, Assessment & Student Support
  - Experienced in training, assessing and supporting young people and adults, delivering high-quality learning experiences and helping learners achieve positive outcomes.
• Partnership Working & Stakeholder Engagement
  - Builds effective relationships with employers, community stakeholders and colleagues to create opportunities that enhance learning, employability and student success.
• Organisation, Communication & Teamwork
  - Highly organised with strong interpersonal skills, able to manage workloads, maintain accurate records, use IT systems effectively, and contribute positively within collaborative and diverse teams.
• Professionalism, Safeguarding & Flexibility
  - Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and health and safety, with a flexible and professional approach, willingness to travel between locations, and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
