Qualifications:

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Ensure the solution meets the technical requirements of a material-handling project and is carried out within cost and time scale constraints.
* To interpret design input information (including mechanical design and data lists) to produce control system designs.
* Production of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.
* Design and production of electrical layouts and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.
* Procurement of electrical equipment including control panels and field devices.
* Liaising with suppliers on technical matters.
* Travel to customer sites to support the commercial team with new enquiries and conduct site surveys as part of the design process.

* General Responsibilities:

*** To liaise with systems sales and project engineers during project phase.
* To liaise with installation supervisors, sub-contractors and customer during order execution phase.
* To liaise with production planning and purchase departments.
* To liaise with and provide technical information to any department so entitled, i.e. controls, mechanical, projects, service, spares.
* To comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.
** Qualifications &

Experience:

*** Essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
* Desirable:
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
* Essential:
To be conversant with AutoCAD, E-Plan, Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Desirable: previous experience in materials handling industry
* Essential:
At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Desirable:
Good understanding of distributed control systems

There may be a need to support activities across the EMEA region. This may necessitate some occasional travel outside of the ‘home country’ across the EMEA region.
