Substance Misuse Nurse; RMN or RGN

Position: Substance Misuse Nurse (RMN or RGN)
We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse/Detox Nurse (RMN or RGN) to join our client's team in Wellingborough.

Hours:

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week) Dates: ASAP 4 months (Temporary Contract, will be reviewed after 4 months) Pay Rate: between £35 to £39/hr PAYE or umbrella (no limited companies) Your new role Undertake physical and mental health assessments for service users and ensure appropriate sign posting/referral to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.

To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification

Assist in the titration process for opiate service users.

To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.

To provide Hepatitis B vaccinations when needed.

Offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users. Essential Qualifications and Experience Current NMC registration

Previous experience in a substance misuse role within a drug treatment service, forensic setting, prison, or a similar environment.
