GXO are looking for Warehouse Shift Managers to join us at our new site in Wellingborough. You’ll be responsible for driving efficient operational performance on shift, ensuring service levels are met, and maintaining strong communication with the senior management team. You’ll lead, coach and develop colleagues to deliver results, all while promoting a safe, high‑performance culture.
Shift Patterns- Any 5 from 7, Sunday – Friday, rotating 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00 (salary £40,000)
- Sunday – Thursday Nights, 22:00 – 06:00 (salary £45,000)
- Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on shift worked
- 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

- Take full operational responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse on your shift, leading, motivating and developing your team to achieve challenging targets
- Create and maintain a positive team culture by actively encouraging involvement from all to improve employee engagement
- Identify cost‑saving initiatives and implement corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse operation
- Ensure all operational processes are fully compliant with Health & Safety policies, accurately identifying risks and escalating findings
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates and insight
- Previous experience as a Shift Manager in a large, fast‑paced warehouse environment
- Competent user of Warehouse Management Systems, with JDA/Red Prairie experience being an advantage
- Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
- Excellent people skills – the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
