Salary - £36,500 - £17.55 ph
A well‑established manufacturing organisation based in Wellingborough is currently seeking a high‑quality TIG & MIG Welder to join its production team on a permanent, full‑time basis.

The RoleWorking within the production welding team, you will be responsible for assembling and welding complex instrumentation to exacting quality standards, using a range of jigs, fixtures, welding plant, and manipulators.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out TIG (and some MIG) welding to a consistently high standard
- Weld stainless steel components in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Work towards welding across the full size and product range, meeting all quality requirements
- Undertake basic assembly tasks including pressure testing and helium leak testing
- Support production engineering with shop‑floor documentation
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in line with housekeeping standards
- Support customer inspection activities when required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and new production methods
- Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks as required
- Work in full compliance with health, safety, and PPE requirements
- Minimum 5 years' TIG welding experience within a manufacturing or high‑technology environment
- Proven experience welding stainless steel to a high standard
- Welding qualifications/coding to EN287-1, ASME IX and/or PED
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Good accuracy, consistency, and speed of work
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a small‑batch production environment
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Recognised engineering qualification (C&G, BTEC or similar)
- MIG welding capability
- Experience with exotic materials (e.g. 316, Duplex, Super Duplex)
- Nuclear coding experience (e.g. RCCM)
- Experience using automated lathes or turntables
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime at short notice
