Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a specialist manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Location:

Wellingborough

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Contract:

Permanent

The Role:

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing operations in a make-to-order environment, ensuring effective use of labour, materials, and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules
  • Planning output based on customer orders and project timelines
  • Coordinating raw material requirements with supply chain teams
  • Sequencing production to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate BOMs, routings, and lead times within ERP/MRP systems
  • Tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels
  • Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, quality, and sales teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production
The Ideal Candidate :
  • Previous experience in a Production Planner or Scheduling role within manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of make-to-order or project-based environments
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
