We are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder to join a well-established and highly reputable manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is a permanent opportunity to work within a skilled production team, producing high-specification instrumentation products to the highest quality standards.

Salary: £36,500 per annum
Hours:
40 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:15 // Friday: 07:00 - 12:00

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding within a production environment, working to strict quality and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities Include- Carrying out TIG welding to produce precision instrumentation products
- Working predominantly with stainless steel to a very high standard
- Supporting assembly-related processes such as pressure testing and leak testing
- Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and work instructions
- Supporting production engineering with shop floor documentation
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring bays are kept clean and organised
- Supporting customer inspection activity
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Following all Health & Safety procedures including PPE and manual handling
- Have a minimum of 5 years' TIG welding experience within a high-technology manufacturing environment
- Have experience welding stainless steel to a high standard
- Be confident reading technical drawings and specifications
- Demonstrate strong accuracy, speed, and consistency
- Have experience of welder coding (EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED desirable)
- Be self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work unsupervised
- Be comfortable working in a clean, production-based environment
- Recognised engineering qualification (C&G, BTEC or similar)
- Experience welding exotic materials such as 316, Duplex or Super Duplex
- Experience with in small-batch or capital equipment manufacturing
- Occasional MIG welding capability
