Job Description

Were recruiting on behalf of a successful growing UK manufacturer that is investing heavily in its people technology and production capability. Operating a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing facility our client is looking for experienced Production Shift Leaders to lead motivate and develop production teams while delivering outstanding operational performance.

The Role

As a Production Shift Leader youll take ownership of your shift ensuring production targets are achieved safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Youll lead from the front creating a positive working environment while driving productivity engagement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead coach and develop a team of production operatives.
  • Deliver daily production plans while maintaining quality safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs including output downtime waste and labour utilisation.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Investigate production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Work closely with Production Quality Engineering and Planning teams to maximise performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
  • Complete accurate production reporting and ensure effective shift handovers.
About You

Were looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who can inspire teams and consistently deliver results.

Youll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Shift Leader Team Leader Supervisor or similar within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs and delivering against production targets.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A strong commitment to quality health & safety and operational excellence.

Experience from sectors such as glass manufacturing building products automotive engineering FMCG packaging or other high-volume production environments would be highly advantageous.
