School Hours (Typically 8:30am – 3:30pm)

We are recruiting enthusiastic Psychology graduates to work as Flexible Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Taunton and the surrounding areas.

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Helping children regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
• Supporting students with SEND, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other additional needs
• Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and families
• Gaining experience across a variety of school settings

• A Psychology graduate or someone studying Psychology
• Passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Confident communicating with children and professionals
• Experience with young people through volunteering, mentoring, care, coaching, tutoring, or youth work is beneficial but not essential

• Flexible work around further study, placements, or other commitments
• School hours only – evenings and weekends free

• Excellent preparation for careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Teaching, Therapy, or Social Work

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are desirable, as work may be available across several schools in Taunton and the surrounding areas.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
