We are recruiting enthusiastic Psychology graduates to work as Flexible Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Taunton and the surrounding areas.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Helping children regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
- Supporting students with SEND, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other additional needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and families
- Gaining experience across a variety of school settings
- A Psychology graduate or someone studying Psychology
- Passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Confident communicating with children and professionals
- Experience with young people through volunteering, mentoring, care, coaching, tutoring, or youth work is beneficial but not essential
- Flexible work around further study, placements, or other commitments
- School hours only – evenings and weekends free

- Gain valuable experience supporting children with SEMH and SEND
- Excellent preparation for careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Teaching, Therapy, or Social Work

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are desirable, as work may be available across several schools in Taunton and the surrounding areas.
Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
