Bank Housekeeper

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Wellesley Hospital as a Bank Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the staff bank at a service for those who have long term neurological conditions where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

As part of the staff bank, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £12.85 per hour, including a 12.07% pay uplift. You’ll receive weekly pay.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.

• Maintain required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• Be an active member of the team with a range of responsibilities over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintain excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greet visitors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Undertake any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attend mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

• Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
• Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done.
• Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
• Be a good communicator.
• Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

. You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with Mental Health needs.

There are 6 wards for people with Mental Health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with Mental Health issues.
