Front End Developer Government/Public Sector
Rate: 540 per day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: 01/07/2026
6 months contract
Location: Telford (2 days per month onsite, remainder remote)
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join a high-performing team working on modern, scalable web applications within the COTAX programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful digital services using cutting-edge front-end technologies.
Key Skills & Experience
- React Frameworks
Strong experience with modern React frameworks, particularly Remix and/or React Router v7 - Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
Proven ability to build SSR-ready applications with a solid understanding of progressive enhancement and its importance - Material-UI (MUI)
Hands-on experience developing applications using the MUI React component library - Type Script
Demonstrable experience building robust, scalable applications using Type Script - End-to-End Testing (E2E)
Experience with modern E2E testing frameworks, especially Playwright
What You'll Bring
- Strong front-end engineering mindset with attention to performance and usability
- Experience delivering high-quality, production-ready code
- Ability to work within agile, collaborative environments
