2 x a month on site in Telford

6 Month + contract

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the development, deployment and operation of cloud-native applications and platforms within an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain and support Kubernetes-based platforms.
Develop and manage Helm charts for application deployment and lifecycle management.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab.
Support the containerisation and deployment of applications.
Work closely with engineering teams delivering Java-based microservices.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across multiple environments.

Essential Skills

Kubernetes
Helm (strong commercial experience required)
AWS
Git Lab CI/CD Pipelines
Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
Microservices architecture and deployment
Observability, monitoring and logging
Experience supporting engineering teams delivering Java applications

Desirable Skills

MongoDB
Terraform
Public Sector or Government experience
