Factory Operative

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Factory Operative
to join our client's team, working with the manufacture and assembly of wood burning stoves.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work and is looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided.

Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00

  • Friday: 08:00 – 15:00

The Role

The position will involve a variety of factory duties, including:

  • Spraying stoves and associated components in preparation for final assembly.

  • Sanding welded stoves and parts ready for the shot‑blasting process.

  • Carrying out quality control checks on stoves before shot‑blasting.

  • Operating shot‑blasting equipment to prepare stoves for spraying.

  • Cleaning, preparing and assembling castings and associated stove components.

  • Assembling wood burning stoves at a dedicated workbench.

  • Using hand tools and battery‑operated tools to complete assembly tasks.

  • Supporting colleagues and assisting with general factory duties as required.

  • A practical, hands‑on approach to work.

  • Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

  • The ability to use small hand tools; experience with battery‑operated tools would be beneficial.

  • Previous workshop, assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

  • A reliable attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
