TR Development is seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant to support the financial operations of a fast-growing real estate development firm. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, proficiency with Quick Books Online, and the ability to manage multiple accounts, reconciliations, and reporting functions with precision. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial data, timely processing, and compliance with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into Quick Books Online, ensuring proper allocation to projects and departments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, and online payments) and maintain payment schedules.
- Track and update vendor W9s and certificates of insurance (COIs).
- Generate tenant and customer invoices; apply payments and monitor outstanding balances.
- Maintain detailed A/R aging reports and communicate with tenants or clients regarding past due balances.
- Reconcile deposits across multiple platforms and bank accounts.
- Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- Assist with month‑end closing procedures.
- Support the Controller or senior accounting staff in maintaining accurate general ledger balances.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly accounting reports, including cash flow summaries and expense tracking.
- Provide data support for weekly & monthly reporting needs.
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, construction, or property management.
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of general ledger structure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a small, collaborative team.
- Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint or other cloud-based document management systems.
- Familiarity with job cost accounting and project-based financial tracking.
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $65,000/year (commensurate with experience).
