As part of our teaching team, we are looking for an outstanding and dynamic English teacher to be in post ready for 1ST August 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for primary school students, following the MYP and Cambridge curriculum.
- Develop and implement initiatives to encourage student interest in the English language and culture, promoting literacy and communication skills.
- Organise and oversee English-related extracurricular activities, such as language clubs, cultural events, and immersion programs, to deepen students’ engagement with the language.
- Offer extra help sessions, guidance, and support to students in need, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
- Contribute to departmental improvement, including reviewing and updating the curriculum, methods of learning & teaching.
- Ensure that lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual pupils, including additional challenge and support as required.
- Promote and manage positive behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, welfare and safety in every moment and to develop within students positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property and schoolwork.
- Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, students’ homework and maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills, including meeting all deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in foreign language or related careers.
- Proficiency in software management (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google).
- 2 years of experience teaching English or in related positions.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of the IB programmes is desirable.
