Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner on a 10-month fixed term arrangement to work closely with senior leaders and operational teams, providing trusted financial insights and advice to support decision-making and performance. This role goes beyond the numbers; you will help improve financial capability across the business and drive value through strong relationships.

You will provide both technical and strategic financial advice to managers to support our Digital team to ensure we are maximising our investments in technology and building our financial management capability in our cost centre managers.

You will also contribute to reviewing Digital contractual arrangements in conjunction with the Commercial Manager – Finance, and Legal.

This Portfolio primarily supports our Digital team and requires a demonstrative understanding or experience in Information Technology and Cloud Computing financials – an interest in Weather also helps!

• Partner with senior leaders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions and support strategic and operational decision making.
• Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes and assigned portfolios
• Deliver clear, accurate and timely financial reporting including analysis of variances, trends and risks
• Support business cases, investment decisions and cost optimisation initiatives
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve data quality
• Act as a trusted advisor, balancing commercial insight and financial rigor
• Successful practical experience with completing month end accounting, budgeting and planning cycles.

You are a confident and collaborative finance professional who enjoys working with stakeholders and influencing outcomes

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualifications with 5+ years’ experience
• Strong experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accounting role
• Experience in Information Technology and Cloud Computing financials
• Proven ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• A can do attitude, with a successful track record of achieving results.
• Is a true team player; is ready and willing to proactively contribute to a team effort.
• The ability to build trust and maintain strong positive relationships across the business.
• Highly developed analytical skills. Able to take a broad or long-term view of a situation.
