MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (ASCP/REG) at Wellington Regional Medical Center
OverviewWellington Regional Medical Center is a 235‑bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and has been serving the residents of Palm Beach County since 1986. Responsibilities- This is a full‑time position, hours 2:30‑10:30 PM.
- Must be a Florida‑licensed medical technologist generalist, with experience in Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank (preferred).
- Must be flexible to cover weekend shifts.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory: chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood banking, and microbiology.
- Maintain daily quality control charts and preventive maintenance records.
- Assist in orientation of new employees.
- Provide care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric age.
- May be required to perform phlebotomy.
- Will readily cross‑train to other job descriptions and float to other departments as necessary, as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
- Work under the direct supervision of the Lab Section Supervisor/Lab Manager and report to the Director of Laboratory Services.
- Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP, AMT, or NCA.
- Holds a Florida AHCA Medical Technologist license.
- Must have Blood Bank experience.
