Job Summary

The Patient Enrollment Coordinator drives Cano Health’s enrollment growth by discussing options with members and non-members. The role is fluent in Medicare, HMO, Medicaid, and other payor sources for primary care and physiotherapy services. The Coordinator guides patients through insurance and cash‑pay processes, explains payment plans, and assists with membership enrollment or credit applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Represent Cano Health professionally, including center tours.
  • Expertly convey Cano’s services, identify member needs, answer healthcare access questions, discuss costs, and facilitate enrollment into health or payment plans.
  • Assist patients with credit applications, when applicable.
  • Collaborate with health‑plan agents, brokers, and community outreach associates.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals and growth targets.
  • Verify insurance coverage for all services provided and maintain communication to ensure continuous benefit coverage.
  • Generate and submit enrollment reports.
  • Deliver presentations, attend meetings, and distribute educational materials to members and potential members.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision to reach objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance membership growth.
  • Generate and submit enrollment reports (repeated).

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience (marketing, business development, community engagement, or healthcare).
  • Exceptional networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with little supervision.
  • Detail‑oriented, providing outstanding customer service and building relationships.
  • Project anticipation, prioritization, meeting deadlines, with occasional evenings and weekends.
Education Requirements

High School diploma.

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
  • Fluent in English and primary language of target population (e.g., Spanish).
  • IT proficiency with electronic medical records (preferably eCW), health‑plan portals, and IT systems (Care Credit, Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare markets.
  • Detail‑oriented reporting and data accuracy.
  • Sales and marketing experience preferred.
  • Healthcare marketing, enrollment, or community outreach experience a plus.
Physical Requirements

Work primarily at a personal computer with extended phone use. Requires standing, sitting, walking, and occasional climbing. Must lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours, weekends, and flexible schedules. Reasonable accommodations available.

Work Conditions

Essential functions:

Travel: 0‑25%, driving to assigned clinics.
