Community Wound Care Nurse – Central or Hutt region

Our nurses focus on wound care management and other specialist clinical services such as catheter care and IV treatment management. Working alongside a network of registered health professionals, you’ll play a key role in achieving the best outcomes for clients. Each day will offer new experiences as you visit clients in their homes, workplaces, or places of study, ensuring no two days are the same.
Desiredskills and experience
Registered or enrolled nurse with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Strong team‑player with the ability to build professional relationships within the community
- The ability to plan and organise caseloads effectively, to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, client‑focused environment. Ability to self‑manage and handle a busy workload
- A current full driver’s licence is essential
- Digital confidence with using apps and computers
- Education – We offer regular in‑service education to ensure continuous professional development including a comprehensive induction and preceptor programme
- Support – our dedicated Clinical Nurse Leaders are hugely experienced and here to help

- Technology – provide assessment of acute and complex wounds using products that are at the leading edge of the wound management process
