New Zealand Venue Co. is on the lookout for talented, experienced Duty Managers to join the team at Gibbons in Wellington. With NZVC’s rapid growth, this is your chance to step into a dynamic hospitality career with real progression!
What we’re looking for
* Genuine passion for hospo and delivering exceptional guest experiences
* Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
* Ability to thrive under pressure and multitask like a pro
* Minimum 2 years’ restaurant/bar or customer service experience
* Duty Manager Certificate & Licensed Controller Qualification (LCQ)
* Flexible availability across our 7-day roster
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting daily operations alongside the Venue Manager
* Leading the team on shift, coaching and giving real-time feedback
* Creating memorable guest experiences and building strong customer relationships
* Ensuring compliance, safety and smooth delivery of events and promotions
* Basic financials: cash ups, labour control, EOD/EOW reporting
* Assisting with hiring and training new team members
* Secure full-time role (min. 30 hrs/week)
* Competitive hourly rate $27–$32
