Responsibilities

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Supports the healthcare team with professional leadership. Demonstrates patient‑centered care and Service Excellence standards. Recognizes stroke signs, initiates stroke alerts, and assists the ICU nurse with telemedicine consults. Performs and documents NIHSS, bedside swallow studies, and prepares patients for endovascular treatment. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge through annual 8‑hour online training.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
  • Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute‑care setting.
  • BLS certification (current upon hire).
  • ACLS and any required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment).
  • Current Florida nursing license.
  • Successful completion of any pre‑employment assessment required by the facility.
