- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (A.D., Diploma, B.S.N., or Master’s Degree in Nursing)
- Current registered nurse’s license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of two (2) years of Critical Care/IR/Cath Lab experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS certifications
- Willingness to be cross‑trained to other areas
- Basic computer skills
The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible and accountable for all nursing care provided to patients. The nurse is accountable to the patient, Department Manager, Department Director, Medical Director, and Chief Nursing Officer. Under the direction of the Department Manager and Medical Director, the nurse assists the cardiologist and other allied professionals, technically and clinically, in the assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of care for interventional patients.
The nurse is willing to cross‑train and float to other imaging service areas to meet facility needs. Responsibilities also include recognizing stroke signs and symptoms, calling a stroke alert, performing NIHSS, administering and monitoring thrombolytic therapy, preparing patients for endovascular treatment, and maintaining currency in stroke knowledge through annual training.
